The setting up of a new enterprise or business on a farm, ancillary to a farm or in a rural community can be challenging and complicated. Initial ideas will need to be tested and perhaps fine-tuned, elaborate business plans may need to be prepared for financing purposes, submissions may be necessary for the planning authority, grant applications may have to be completed and lodged, a tendering process may have organised with contractors and suppliers and a raft of government regulations will have to be complied with. Thereafter, the project will have to be got off the drawing board, managed to completion with all the pieces fitted together as smoothly and as efficiently as possible. The ACA has within its membership people who are competent and experienced in the delivery of on-farm, farm related and community rural development projects.
